Trouble Shooting

1. If an excessive reduction in pump output is noticed
1.1 Move the flow adjuster halfway between the "waterfall" W and "fountain" F positions. Restart the pump.
1.2. If the filter does not block after a day, move the flow adjuster to the "F" fountain position.
1.3. If filter blockage becomes a problem, move the flow adjuster back towards the "W" waterfall position.

2. If the filter blocks
2.1. Remove the filter cage and wash in clean water.
2.2. Check that the rotor turns with no resistance and the fan nozzles at the ends of the rotor are not blocked. If the rotor does not spin easily or the nozzles are blocked insert a screwdriver into the slots on the side of the rotor and carefully prise the two halves apart. Remove any blockage, wash with clean water and re-assemble
2.3. Ensure pipe from the Adaption Tee to the Rotorflush is not kinked. Straighten as necessary
2.4. Make sure that the flow adjuster on the Adaption Tee is in the correct position: if operating fountain only,"F" position, if operating Bell fountain, fountain/waterfall combination, waterfall, filter box or ornament, "W" position.

3. If the filter blocks with gunge trap fitted
3.1 Check contents of gunge trap bowl (It is full when the gunge and detritus are up to the bottom of the filter cage.)
To empty separate the filter from the spider and remove the trap from the pond and tip out content (not into pond) and rinse clean. Check and clean as the blocked filter sequence 1 - 4 above.
