Self Cleaning suction filters and strainers

Filter Pumps
Submersible pump with an integral self cleaning intake filter. These pumps have a maximum output of 225 litres/minute and pressure of 10.8 bar. They are fitted with a standard 315 micron aperture self cleaning filter screen(screens down to 50 micron available) .

The pumps can work in fluids containingup to 2000mg/litre total suspended solids(raw sewage typically 500-1000 mg/l TSS)

They produce a filtered output of fluid which prevents blockage to nozzles, valves and solenoids.

Screen apertures - 315, 250, 100 & 50 Micron
(300 Micron = 0.3mm)

Control Panels for Filterpumps

These special control panels incorporate a motor load monitor. This monitors the load on the motor and will shut the pump down if no water is being pumped and prevents motor burn out.

This is important for the Rotorflush Filterpumps as they have a fine self cleaning inlet filter that can become blocked if there are very high levels of suspended solids in the water.

The load monitor also means that it is not necessary to have a float switch to prevent dry running, although there is provision to connect a float or pressure switch if required.

The panels have a digital display and keypad for setting up the parameters and fault display. They have the usual protections for over current and over/under voltage
(for full details see the data sheet)

We strongly advise that the panels are used with all our 3 phase pumps and the Nauti N9416, N9516 and N9616 single phase pumps.

Our other single phase pumps have built in thermistors that help protect the motor in the event of dry running.

Analyser/Instrumentation Filter System
Model RF-100AN
A self cleaning filter system for continuously supplying samples for analyzers and instrumentation.

It provides an economic, easily retro-fitted and very low maintenance system.

The wall mounted system takes the existing fluid supply into the filtering chamber, here the self cleaning filter head extracts a sample and delivers it to your analyzer.

It can be supplied with interchangeable 50, 80 250 micron filter screens.

The filter head is driven by a 120 watt mag drive pump that delivers 0-20 litres/minute, (adjustable), to your analyser.

The system is entirely built of PVC and polypropylene so is very resistant to chemicals.

Maintenance is minimal, in most situations.

Pump with Self Cleaning
Inlet Filter

Model RF-100ind
Surface mounted self priming pump with self cleaning inlet filter
These pumps have a maximum output of 30 litre/minute and pressure of 1 bar
They are fitted with a standard 250 micron (0.25mm) aperture self cleaning filter screen, screens down to 50 microns are available.

The Pump and self cleaning filter combination is applicable wherever the user wishes to extract a filtered supply of water from source, for example recycling water for pressure washers, supplying samples to fluid analysers.
The pumps are available in 230v & 110v AC, 12v & 24v DC

  Control Valve
In many situations our self-cleaning filters and Filterpumps will work without maintenance and the filter is kept clear by the self-cleaning mechanism. However in some situations the filters may block without the control valve fitted.

When might you need it?
Where there are high levels of suspended solids, or where there is a lot of grease and fat in the liquid to be filtered. In these situations the self-cleaning filters may block. Without a control valve the filter has to be manually cleaned.
