Filter & Gunge Trap Maintenance
	To clean the Cleaning Rotor, gently prise rotor halves apart with a small screwdriver and remove any blockage. Wash in clean water. Reassemble in the reverse order. Every 2 months of operation rinse the filter mesh with clean water. The Gunge Trap needs to be emptied periodically, frequency will depend on the amount of detritus in your pond. To empty the Gunge Trap Separate the filter from the gunge trap retaining spider and lift the trap from the pond. Remove the Spider from the bowl by twisting counter-clockwise, then rinse the bowl with clean water. If you are unable to maintain the gunge trap for a period (eg. going on holiday) we recommend removing the gunge trap, making sure that the filter is off the bottom of the pond, the flow of water to your pump will be maintained leaving the detritus that will not pass through the filter in the pond.
