Self-cleaning Pond Filter & GungeTrap WARNINGS: Before carrying out any work on the filter, ensure the pump is stopped and the power supply made safe. Running the pump with a blocked filter can cause serious damage - check installation and empty Gunge Trap bowl regularly.
The Rotorflush Self-cleaning Pond Filter utilises a free spinning cleaning rotor which is propelled by diverting some of the pump outlet flow which is discharged from the angular nozzles of the rotor to both impart rotation and provide a backwashing jet which keeps the filter cage from clogging. With the Gunge Trap fitted the detritus is collected in the bowl.
