2. Check pump discharge
diameter. Press the Adaption Tee (6) over the pump
discharge pipe. If diameter is too small, use Rubber Tee
Adaptor (*see list above). Position flow adjuster on
Adaption Tee (6). If operating a fountain only set F
under arrow, if operating waterfall only, or
waterfall and fountain, set to W. See fine
tuning flow adjustment in box overleaf, if you are unsure
how to adjust.
3. Check pump inlet
diameter, if necessary select an appropriate adaptor to
enable the filter to be fitted to the pump. (Many of the
larger pumps, no adaptor is required the filter will push
straight over the pump inlet).
4. Press the filter
outlet over bore of the pump inlet, on insert into
adaptor, where used.
5. Fit the long end of
connecting tube RF-7 on to the nipple of the filter
before inserting the other end into the flow adjuster on
the Adaptor Tee. Twist the filter and Adaptor Tee so that
the connecting tube is not kinked.
6. If using the filter
with the gunge trap ñ screw the Adaptor Tube Suction and
Adaptor Elbow suction to the ends of the Suction tube.
Check pump inlet diameters, if necessary select an
appropriate adaptor. RF-4 or RF-5 (larger pumps often do
not require adaptor.), to enable the straight adaptor on
the suction tube to be fitted to the pump inlet. Fit the
elbow to the filter (in the vertical position).
7. Fit the connecting
tube (long) to the nipple of the filter and then insert
the other end into the flow adjuster on the Adaptor Tee.
Twist the filter and Adaptor Tee so that the connecting
tube is not kinked. Insert the filter into the retaining
spider of the gunge trap.
8. Fit fountain head as
supplied with your pump, to the top of the Adaption Tee.
A 1in. (25mm) pipe can be fitted directly to top of the
Adaption Tee if the fountain head is not required. You
are now ready to install the pump in the pond.
